What is Allied Health Services?
Our Allied Health program coordinates a diverse team of visiting specialists and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. We offer consultations with a variety of experts, including:
- Optometrists
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
Each specialist brings targeted expertise to address different health needs, providing services that range from regular check-ups to specialized treatments.
When and Where
All appointments are held at our clinic, and patients should contact reception to confirm the exact location and time.
Specialists visit according to the following schedule:
- Optometrist: (2 Days per Month)
- Sam Hobbs
- Occupational Therapist: (Monthly)
- Tyson Barid
- Physiotherapist: (Monthly)
- Patrick Adison
Eligibility
The eligibility for access to Pika Wiya Health Service is primarily limited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people residing or visiting the Pika Wiya catchment area.
Clients wishing to see the optometrist, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist can self-refer by contacting our reception.
While appointments are typically scheduled for the next available clinic, referrals are prioritized based on urgency.
